ELEVATE program for students

The ELEVATE program is for students wishing to Study a National Qualification in Dance.
Students will study the theory/academic components online, and then the practical elements in the comfort of their home studio.

If you are a high school student, or a parent of a high school student- you may be curious about if and how you could take all the years of experience in the dance studio and put them towards an Australian Recognised Qualification.

You are the reason why we created our ELEVATE program.

It is our mission to have more dancers in the industry that are passionate, serious, determined, and employable for years to come.

We know that our cutting edge Certificates in Dance deliver world class dance education for tomorrow’s leading professionals, because our team who have been successfully employed and recognised by studios, wrote it. These are people who, just like you or your child, love to dance and their goals are to continue to have a long and reputable career in the industry.

Our goal here at Empowerdance, is to help you reach yours. We thank you for taking the time to enquire about our ELEVATE program and look forward to working alongside you.

YOUR COMMITMENT – PRACTICAL

You will choose your practical units that are then completed in your dance studio during your regular classes in your preferred studio. The electives/styles you choose will then determine how many hours you are required to complete as a part of your Certification, and you will be given a logbook to log these hours.

You will also be assessed in a performance setting, that could be your annual dance performance, or competition routines you have performed in.

DELIVERY

All of your ELEVATE theory classes are delivered to you online via our online classroom with our friendly Empowerdance trainers and assessors.

All of your theory assessments are then uploaded and completed through your online portal, Cloud Assess, which you will have access to by using your own log in.

If you choose to complete a Certificate III or Certificate III in Assistant Dance Teaching you will need to work alongside a dance teacher in your studio to gain valuable experience for student teaching and teaching units. These teachers will become your mentors, giving your one-on-one training and coaching, creating an invaluable experience, with the goal to strengthen your skills to create employability for years to come.

You will also get to work alongside their peers for group assessments, which will require you to have internet available so you can access your online learning portal or other websites to help you in your studies.
