ASSESSMENT STRATEGY
The assessments undertaken by students will provide sufficient information to guide assessors on the developing and final competence of each individual student. The assessment framework ensures that students receive assessment that meets their needs and reflects current industry practice.
Assessment methods include:
Practical demonstration of technical skills in a dance performance
Role play / simulation of situations likely to occur in industry
Observation of dance performance
Written and oral assessment tasks to validate the student’s understanding of underpinning principles
Third party reports
In many instances assessment takes place in a holistic environment where multiple units of competence and performance criteria are assessed concurrently.
Assessments must meet the requirements of the relevant training packages and consider the stated application of the Unit, the range of variable, the required skills and knowledge and the evidence guide.
